How can an integral approach help you?

The goal of an integral approach is to put the best tools to work for your personal situation to help you grow the capacity for wise action and greater wellbeing.

There is today a wealth of research, teachings and wisdom from many different disciplines and practices that I am able to draw upon. This allows me to create a unique programme just for you whether that is in psychotherapy, couples counselling or life coaching via Zoom in New Zealand and the World.

If you wish to explore this theory in depth then you might like to read the article Introduction to Integral Theory.

“Working with Tamara has been a profound, life changing experience for me and I’m very grateful to have found her. Working with her has allowed me to affect the type of spiritual and emotional changes that I didn’t even know were possible. It’s rare that you encounter someone who enables you to view the world differently and look fearlessly at who you are. Like any worthwhile undertaking, this journey has been challenging at times but Tamara’s wise encouragement has been vital in helping me stay the course.”

Karen, Writer, Auckland

An integral approach helps shift long term patterns

"Weekly meetings with Tamara have ensured that I have someone to check in with, a place to share the weekly busy-ness of my monkey mind, and to slowly, slowly but surely move towards a loving acceptance of the me that exists now, and a gentle smile and hug for the versions of me that have hidden, shone, cowered, danced, crawled and leapt along the way to getting here."

Sue, Teacher, Auckland

Shifting longstanding patterns – those that seem almost unmovable – requires finding the tools that work best for you.

While there are many schools of psychology I call upon, I also integrate insights from neuroscience, mind/body practices, nutrition, spiritual/religious traditions (Western and Eastern) as well as many alternative health practices.

Integrating these resources into a holistic, unique solution is what I mean by “integral”.

An Integral map helps to grow confidence and mastery

An integral approach to understanding another individual entails taking into account the many interrelated parts of the human being. Such an approach allows a more complete understanding of the individual and his or her unique life circumstances so that I may tailor an approach for the whole person.

Emotional resilience and self-mastery will grow when you are using a realistic map and are living each day with confidence and purpose.

"Good relationships takes work and effort and when things get tough it’s important to get professional help. Our sessions with Tamara got us out of a stuck place and deepened our connection. She created a safe environment to explore all elements of our relationship. It was challenging, sometimes tough and scary and always enlightening. Tamara has a wonderful talent and with her guidance we have improved our marriage. Thank you Tamara!”

Mike & Angela, Auckland
